International friendly: Wales vs England

Venue: London's Wembley, the capital Date: October 9th Kick-off: 7:45 PM BST

The Wales head coach states England's squad depth is remarkable that a boxing promoter would not pair them against the Welsh team.

The Welsh squad face England in a friendly at the national stadium on this Thursday before their crucial World Cup qualifier against the Belgians next Monday.

National team coach Tuchel has left the likes of Jude Bellingham, Phil Foden and Jack Grealish from his selection for the Wales friendly and their World Cup qualifier against the Latvian team.

"England have a incredible team, similar to the French," the coach remarked.

"They have a transfer market value of 1.4 billion pounds, Wales' is £170m. Were you a fight promoter, you wouldn't put us together. That wouldn't be permitted."

Bellamy says making sure Wales can compete with the talented rivals is a "driving force".

The Wales head coach continued: "We do not rely on values, but the reality is they don't just have one team. They have multiple and France and other nations are similarly stacked. They have many top talents and that's a fact."

"A defender was ruled out injured the recently and there are 24 more to choose from! They have over sixty footballers. I wish us to be well-equipped like them."

These two nations most recently met at the 2022 tournament in Qatar, when England emerged as comfortable 3-0 winners in a fixture before Gareth Southgate's side reached the last eight.

Southgate's successor is Tuchel, a Champions League and world club champion at Chelsea who has claimed domestic titles in France and his home country.

Bellamy was previously an assistant at the Belgian side and the English club to Kompany, who replaced Tuchel at Bayern Munich.

"Tuchel's an incredible manager - his record speak for themselves," he added.

"I have a degree of insight because the club he left I am familiar with individuals who have joined. I get a glimpse from that of his methods and it's remarkable. "

"His tactical detail is top level and I aimed to be facing such a challenge - see how we adjust because he will. I can learn from that. I aspire to reach such heights."
